See why Wool Envelopes are Kaubamaja’s first choice for shipping skincare and cosmetics products
Estonia’s biggest department store Kaubamaja recently swapped bubble wrap envelopes for Wool Envelopes to ship out online store orders that need extra protection, such as cosmetics.
Enel Kolk, Kaubamaja’s Marketing Director, said, “We were looking for a partner who would offer a three-in-one solution – a packaging that has a smaller environmental impact, is protective and is convenient for both our team and clients. We found the solution in Woola.”
Here at Woola, we were especially happy to see how well Kaubamaja’s customers received the new packaging solution:
Why wool?
Wool is a naturally high-tech fibre
Its elasticity, water repellency, and resistance to temperature extremes make wool a perfect material for packing items that need extra cushioning.
Still, around 90% of wool goes to waste.
That’s 200 000 tonnes of sheep wool that gets burned or buried in Europe each year. We’re putting that unused material to good use.
Read more about it here.
Single-use and
fossil fuels
Bubble wrap is so 1957.
It has dominated the packaging industry for ages, but its decline is inevitable.
The industry is broken for two reasons: dependency on fossil fuels and the single-use mindset. We need to get rid of both to make packaging more sustainable.
