See why Wool Envelopes are Binocle’s choice for shipping out eyewear
Binocle is an eyewear brand that creates sunglasses and optical glasses with one objective: to offer quality glasses at the right price.
According to the co-founder Samuel, Wool Envelopes are recycled and reusable packaging that is of very good quality and creates a moment of surprise.
Why wool?
Wool is a naturally high-tech fibre
Its elasticity, water repellency, and resistance to temperature extremes make wool a perfect material for packing items that need extra cushioning.
Still, a lot of wool goes to waste.
Up to 90% wool goes to waste across countries in Europe.
That’s a total of 200 000 tonnes of sheep wool that gets burned or buried in Europe each year. We’re putting that unused material to good use.

Single-use and
fossil fuels
Plastic is so 1926.
It has dominated the packaging industry for ages, but its decline is inevitable.
The industry is broken for two reasons: dependence on fossil fuels and the single-use mindset. We need to get rid of both to make packaging more sustainable.
