“Winning awards is not a goal in itself, but such recognition gives us trust and credibility. This will help us on our mission to cut plastic bubble wrap demand in half by 2030.”

— Anna-Liisa Palatu, CEO and co-founder of Woola

Pentawards

At the annual Pentawards ceremony in London on October 25, Woola’s Wool Gusset Envelope took home the Platinum Prize, the highest award in the "Sustainable Design" category.

Pentawards, founded in 2007, is the largest competition dedicated exclusively to packaging design. This year, it received over 2,000 entries from 62 countries.

Luxury Innovation Awards

The Luxury Innovation Awards honored Woola in the "Sustainable Luxury" category, celebrating brands that lead in sourcing, waste reduction, and ethical practices.

Hosted by the Luxury Venture Group, the event brought together hundreds of companies from around the globe for the award ceremony in Geneva on October 2.

Formes de Luxe Awards

On September 30, Woola also won the "E-commerce Packaging" category at the 26th edition of the Formes de Luxe Awards during LUXE PACK Monaco. Woola received this award alongside Maison Matine, a French perfume brand that has been using Woola’s Wool Envelopes since December 2023.

“We were impressed by this approach to replace bubble wrap with wool padding – a great example of circularity,”

— Marianne Guély, jury member for the Formes de Luxe Awards.

Lastly, Anna-Liisa Palatu was also named to the Future Leaders program’s new cohort, announced on October 28. Launched by Paris Packaging Week, this program highlights emerging talent in packaging.
