Woola is organising a charity run to buy medical evacuation vehicles for the Ukrainian army

We are organising "Estonian Mafia runs for Ukraine", a charity relay race for Estonian startups on April 25, with the aim of raising money to buy medical evacuation vehicles (MedEvacs) for the Ukrainian army.

"Ukraine protects our freedom to run our business and live in peace. Medics are the main targets on the front line as they can save lives." said Anna-Liisa Palatu, CEO and co-founder of Woola.

"We visited Kiev twice in the last six months to deliver military aid and meet the soldiers. We saw that Ukraine desperately needs MedEvac trucks for the medics. We're helping them win this war as soon as possible - startups, register your team today!"

— Anna-Liisa Palatu, CEO and co-founder of Woola

To take part in the race, start-ups need to put together a team of four to run a total of 4 times the 400m distance. The entry fee is €1,000 for larger start-ups (companies of 10+ employees) or €500 for smaller start-ups (<10 employees per company).

100% of the participation fees will go towards the purchase of MedEvac cars and Woola representatives will personally drive the cars to Kyiv on May 1st to hand them over to the Ukrainian military.

Several members of the Estonian startup community have already pledged to participate in the event organised by Woola, including serial entrepreneur and investor Ragnar Sass.

"What are Estonian startups particularly good at? Getting shit done!

With this campaign we can make a significant donation to the Ukrainian military, which will go directly to where it is needed most."

Under Ragnar's leadership, the help99.co platform has delivered €5.3 million in support projects since the start of the war, including 308 cars.

We have sent more than 1,000 mattresses (made from our production waste) to the front lines in the last two years. Last December, we also raised €20,000 through a charity art auction and purchased a MedEvac that was personally delivered to Kyiv by Woola team members in January.

Our goal is to raise another €20 000 with the relay race.
